Play only the root on the first beat of each change: A (bar 1, Am7), D (bar 2, D7), G (bar 3, Gmaj7), C (bar 4, Cmaj7), F# (bar 5, F#m7b5), B (bar 6, B7b9), E (bars 7–8, Em7). Keep counting through every bar that holds the same chord; the form resolves back to E.
